Rising real estate costs and new opportunities in oil and gas are fueling a rise in rural development. It’s forced energy companies, developers and contractors down a road less traveled. They need onsite offices in remote places to manage their projects, meet with their teams and escape harsh weather.
But the road less traveled is often windy, narrow and riddled with potholes. Traditional construction trailers are built on steel frames, but their wood structures don’t fare well on rugged roads. Frequently, the rolling behemoths can only pass after costly efforts to grade and widen the road.
