Falls from heights continue to be the leading cause of injuries and fatalities on the jobsite. In 2016, OSHA issued 6,906 violations for fall protection (Standard: 1926.501), the most commonly cited violation. The Army Corps of Engineers recently began requiring comprehensive training for anyone supervising work done at heights. The requirement sets a higher standard for fall protection training that is likely to resonate throughout the construction industry.
